Scholarships Sponsored by the School

1. Comprehensive Development Awarding Scheme

Comprehensive Development Awarding Scheme is to encourage students to establish their learning objectives and to excel themselves in different aspects of their school life by means of ‘learning voucher’. By awarding their outstanding performance, we hope they can set a good model to encourage all students to excel themselves. The scopes of this scheme cover the following areas including Academic, Social Services, Sports, Innovation and Technology, Literature and Arts, Advancement. Details of the scheme are as follows,

  1. Man Kwan Pak Kau Stars in Academic:
    • The best 10 students in terms of academic result in each form.
    • 1st :$3,000; 2nd :$2,000; 3rd :$1,000; 4th to 10th :$500.
  2. Outstanding Academic Performance in Chinese
    • The best 3 students in terms of academic result (Chinese) in each form.
    • 1st :$2,000; 2nd :$1,000; 3rd :$500.
  3. Outstanding Academic Performance in English:
    • The best 3 students in terms of academic result (English) in each form.
    • 1st :$2,000; 2nd :$1,000; 3rd :$500.
  4. Outstanding Academic Performance in Mathematics:
    • The best 3 students in terms of academic result (Mathematics) in each form.
    • 1st :$2,000; 2nd :$1,000; 3rd :$500.
  5. Outstanding Academic Performance in Chinese (EMI Class):
    • The best student in terms of academic result (Chinese) in each form.
    • 1st :$2,000.
  6. Outstanding Academic Performance in English (EMI Class):
    • The best student in terms of academic result (English) in each form.
    • 1st :$2,000.
  7. Outstanding Academic Performance in Mathematics (EMI Class):
    • The best student in terms of academic result (Mathematics) in each form.
    • 1st :$2,000.
  8. Outstanding Academic Performance in CSD and electives (Senior form):
    • The best student in terms of academic result (CSD and electives) in each form. (Only available for DSE subject))
    • 1st :$1,000.
  9. Man Kwan Pak Kau Stars in Social Services:
    • Students with the best performance in Social Service.
    • 1st :$3,000; 2nd :$2,000; 3rd :$1,000.
  10. Man Kwan Pak Kau Stars in Sports:
    • Students with the best performance in Sports.
    • 1st :$3,000; 2nd :$2,000; 3rd :$1,000.
  11. Man Kwan Pak Kau Stars in Innovation and Technology:
    • Students with the best performance in Innovation and Technology.
    • 1st :$3,000; 2nd :$2,000; 3rd :$1,000.
  12. Man Kwan Pak Kau Stars in Literature and Arts:
    • Students with the Best Performance in Literature and Arts.
    • 1st :$3,000; 2nd :$2,000; 3rd :$1,000.
  13. Man Kwan Pak Kau Super Star Award:
    • Students who obtain the highest mark in the gold star level of the Super Star Award Scheme in each form.
    • $3,000 for each winner.
  14. Man Kwan Pak Kau Self-Improvement Kid:
    • The best students who have the most self-improvement in each form.
    • $3,000 for each winner.
  15. Man Kwan Pak Kau Best Performance Award:
    • The best student from the above-mentioned scopes.
    • $5,000 for the champion.

Remarks: Students who are awarded learning voucher(s) should have conduct in B grade or above.

2. Scholarships for students promoting to tertiary institutions 

In order to encourage S6 students to obtain excellent results in HKDSE and enter the tertiary institutions or universities in Hong Kong, each year the school will award a maximum of $ 1000 scholarship to students who further their study in tertiary institutions or universities in Hong Kong.

Scholarships sponsored by Man Kwan Education Fund
  1. Boundless Education Scholarships
    • Students with financial difficulties can apply for subsidy to participate in learning activities, extra-curricular activities, study tours and talent activities. A maximum of $8,000 scholarship will be sponsored by Man Kwan Education Fund each year. Students will be awarded a maximum of $1,000 scholarship with the funding approval committee’s endorsement.
    • Overseas study tours scholarship: A maximum of $28,000 scholarship will be sponsored by Man Kwan Education Fund each year to help students in need participating in overseas study tour.
  1. Scholarship for Continuous Education in Universities of Mainland China, Taiwan or Macau
    • Two students who further their studies in Mainland China, Taiwan or Macau will be recommended by the school each year.
    • Each awardee will receive an amount of $5,000 for encouragement.
  1. Yung Lai Chun Scholarships
    • Two students with the BEST result in DSE will be recommended by the school each year.
    • One student who obtains the best result in HKDSE and continue his / her study in one of the local recognised full time degree course (with conduct graded at least “B” in school) will be awarded an amount of $5,000.
    • One student who is able to continue his / her study in one of the local recognised full time degree course despite the hardship or misfortune he / she has undergone will be awarded an amount of $5,000.
