Our school’s teachers and students participated in the Greater Bay Area International Maker Summit and Maker Faire Shenzhen exhibition held in Shenzhen from November 16 to 17, 2024. The summit, themed “Everything Can Be AI”, brought together over 120 exhibitors from around the world and attracted schools and organizations from across the Greater Bay Area to showcase their innovative achievements.

During the exhibition, our students presented their AI and STEAM projects, including AI-powered safety monitoring devices, generative AI works promoting Hong Kong’s tourism and intangible cultural heritage, and more. Students engaged in in-depth interactions with visitors, gaining valuable feedback and suggestions. Many junior students benefited greatly from the experience, enhancing their confidence and learning from the exchange.

In addition to showcasing their projects, students participated in various AI workshops during the event, furthering their understanding of how artificial intelligence is shaping societal development. They also gained insights into the innovative applications of AI and technology in various fields within China.

Reflecting on the experience, students expressed that participating in this exhibition was truly a rare and valuable opportunity. For many, it was their first time exhibiting outside Hong Kong. The event allowed them to step out of the classroom, apply their knowledge, and experience technological innovation first-hand. It also fostered their creative spirit, helping them improve the quality of their work and inspiring continuous innovation for the future.
