Our school participated in the “Our Joyous Reading Days” series – “Launch of the New Book ‘Treading with Courage’ and Joyful Reading Carnival” jointly organized by the “Hong Kong Chinese Importers’& Exporters’ Association” and “Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers” on April 19, 2024. The event will also launch the new book “Treading with Courage” and hold a carnival with various game booths, hoping to deepen students’ interest and understanding of reading and Hong Kong culture through participation.
When delivering his speech, Under Secretary for Home Affairs Lau Chun pointed out that in recent years, President Xi Jinping has highly emphasized nationwide reading, hoping that through today’s event, a “Book Fanatics Society” can be built. He also encouraged students to start developing good reading habits, and feel the fun of reading from the game booths of today’s event. Even when facing adversity, one must strengthen oneself in adversity. Lau Chun finally wished well for the students’ academic progress.
