AI Spark Science and Innovation Training Camp

Bejing, China

The Form 4 students of our school participated in the AI Spark Science and Innovation Training Camp organized by Hong Kong Baptist University in August, which provided them with an opportunity to explore the mysteries of artificial intelligence alongside students from Beijing.

The five-day, four-night training camp was rich in content. The students visited iFLYTEK, where they experienced firsthand how AI technology is applied in daily life. They were then arranged to learn about generative AI and how this emerging technology can create astonishing content. The students also enjoyed hands-on programming to control robotic cars, experiencing the joy of coding. On the last day, they were fortunate enough to attend the 2024 Soong Ching Ling Future Science Day award ceremony, witnessing the limitless possibilities brought about by technological innovation.

Through this invaluable experience, the students not only broadened their horizons but also gained a wealth of knowledge. They learned advanced AI technologies and how to collaborate with students from different regions, enhancing their communication and teamwork skills. More importantly, they developed a passion and curiosity for the future of technology during the training camp. We hope they will maintain this enthusiasm and perhaps even pursue careers in the technology sector to contribute to society.
